Habitat: The Palila lives mainly in the Mauna Kea, naio forest. Depending on where food is, the Palila's will migrate accordingly. They seem to be found mainly in the denser parts of the forest because that is were most of the Palila's food is located.
Color Pattern: The Palila has a yellow head and chest area. It's back consists of different shades of grey, and around the small birds' eyes has a ring of black. The bird also has some yellow coloring to it's wings and tail.
Calls: The Palila's calls tends to be quieter than other birds and the call back and forth multiple times to each other. The calls are two parts and are heard from all over the forest.
Food: This bird eats many things in it's very dense habitat. Palila's eat seed pods from the mamane tree. The seeds are the birds main diet but they also like to eat the leaves, buds and bugs on the mamane tree.
