The Cordia Subcordata is an evergreen tree that is located in Hawaii. The Kou Tree can grow up to 35 feet tall. Though, 35 feet is the trees max hight, while most of the other trees grow to be 20-25 feet tall. This tree forms beautiful orange flowers which are hidden under the trees leafy structure. The flowers form in clusters.
The flower is funneled slightly. After, the flower life ends, there is a blackish brown fruit growing behind the now dead flower. The fruit has matured you can open it to find white seeds inside. These seeds are edible yet have no flavor.
