The carnivorous caterpillar looks like any other vibrant green or brown caterpillar you see around your yard, but this caterpillar has a catch to it. The carnivorous caterpillar eats bugs instead of leaves. The carnivorous caterpillar has six long arms in the front. These arms are used to grabs the caterpillars next meal. The caterpillar uses a quick snapping motion to catch it prey faster and more efficiently without the caterpillars meal escaping the attack.
The carnivorous caterpillar has adapted to be capable to spin webs to capture snails. They adopted this trait from the many spiders on the island of Hawaii. It is unknown to man why the caterpillar developed a similar ecological niche, only on the island of Hawaii. None of the less the caterpillar is extremely cool to see consuming and catching it's prey.
